About the Coach:

Mike has worked as a City of Dallas Police Officer for the past 18 years,  and was Officer of the Year in 2001. He has coached hockey in North Texas for the past 11 years of which over 60 former players have played or are currently playing at the Junior A or Junior B levels.  He has also coached players that have played at colleges including MIT, Amherst  College, SMU, Texas Tech, Colorado State University and others.

 Mike has won 25 Tournaments around the United States and Canada at the Bantam Major Level and both Midget Minor and Midget Major Levels. He has won two State Championships at the Midget Minor and Midget Major Levels, 3 Regular season Championships at the Midget Minor and Midget Major Levels.

Mike is USA Hockey National Coach Instructor and will be Association Coaching Education Director for the Dallas Scots.

Playing Experience:

Played in Buffalo, New York (member of the Amherst Town
  Team for 15 years)
• 
played at the Junior A Level, and played 1 year of college hockey

 Coaching Experience:

Level 5 Masters Certification (Certification thru USA Hockey)
• National Instructor for USA Hockey
• 11 years with DJHA from 1996-2007
  (longest tenured coach with DJHA)
• Richardson Youth Hockey 1995-1996
• Plano East Varsity Hockey 2002-2003
• Jesuit Varsity and Junior Varsity in 2004-2005

Other Experience:

• MHOA referee
  (experience officiating all levels including the Texas Tornado)
